Produced by Aascar V Ravichandradran, the flick titled Anandha Thandavam is based on Sujatha’s novel titled Pirivom Sandhippom.
Says the director: ‘The story was written by Sujatha about 25 years ago and I fell flat for it. I’ve changed it a little to suit the modern day.
The scenes will be fresh and new, but the essence is the same. I’ve got a wonderful producer and a committed cast and crew.’
Sujatha had actually penned the dialogues for the film, and a new boy Siddharth is making his debut as the hero with Tamanna as the leading lady. Kitty, Madan Bob, Bala Singh, Kalai Rani are also in the cast .
Jeeva Shankar handles the camera and music is directed by G V Prakash Kumar. Lyrics are penned by Vairamuthu.
A major portion of the movie was shot in the US. Scenes were shot in exotic locales in the alien land. ‘I consider Anandha Thandavam as my first film and it is a dedication to Sujatha.I have not changed anything in his story including the names of characters and locations where the story happens from Papanasam to New York. I thank my lead actors for giving life to the characters’, said the director.
‘Prakash has come up with catchy melodies. He is sure to scale several heights,’ said Gandhi Krishna said and added that it is a technically brilliant film and the concept of virtual reality will be talked about.A thrilled Tammana said, ‘I was greatly impressed by the story and decided not to miss the offer. The movie would be a clean entertainer and would enthrall youngsters’.
‘I thank my producers (Aascar), who helped me in making this a mammoth project’, said Gandhi Krishna.
